The challenge
Velocity Logic Group (VLG) offers a loyalty platform purpose-built for the fuel and convenience store industry, processing approximately 2 million loyalty transactions each day across retail and fuel networks.
As the platform scaled, engineering teams came under increasing pressure to deliver new capabilities faster while maintaining the reliability and performance that business-critical services demand. A significant share of engineering effort was being absorbed by solution design, implementation planning, analysis of high-volume transactional data, code reviews, production troubleshooting, and technical documentation. For a platform operating at VLG’s transaction volume, those bottlenecks carried real commercial weight. Sustaining delivery velocity without compromising quality was becoming a constraint on the platform’s ability to compete and meet customer commitments.
The solution
InfoBeans led the rollout, workflow integration, and enablement that brought Claude Code into active production use across VLG’s software and data engineering teams.
Claude Code augments the expertise of VLG’s engineers by helping them design data-intensive services and scalable data pipelines, validate solution approaches, accelerate implementation, review code, optimize services, investigate production issues, and generate technical documentation. It also supports SQL optimization, data transformation logic, data analysis, and exploratory investigation, enabling teams to evaluate alternatives and resolve technical challenges more quickly. The deployment is fully embedded in VLG’s day-to-day engineering workflow, running in production across the team rather than as a contained pilot or proof of concept.
